I would like to know , how many chapters are we from the end ?
to start we need to go all the way back to mc’s life in the “real world” with sunbae. mc related to ml because he himself also went through a tough life, mom left him, grandma died, girlfriend left him when that happened and basically everything is sh/t in his life lol and basically the last words of his gf rlly imprinted into his mind, it was abt how it felt like he didn’t know how to love and stuff. so that’s why he thinks tht he himself is someone unworthy of love. hence why he related to the ml who also like him ended up going thru horrible stuff like he could no longer run bc he got into an incident and the woman he loved didnt return it etc like they both have shi going on. so he told sunbae like he would’ve wrote the story differently bc he thinks ml is also someone worthy of love. the mc ends up committing suicide by drowning himself in the ocean and when he’s waking up in the classroom there’s suppose to be ocean sounds playing in the background (like in the kdrama which also hints to the fact that he indeed died and awoken in this “game” world). but essentially there r different quests tht unlock different things so ml was busying trying to complete them and working different jobs and saving up a lot of money bc that was one of the quests. he goes to the ml’s house and he sees that he just had a fight with his dead beat dad that came and smashed his grandma’s piggy bank and the ml is sad and on the floor. the ml goes and sells him like this thing(I forgot) for a couple of cents and the ml is like okay. he takes the coins and ends up completing the mission, the mission showed the mc what the ml wanted the most, and it flashes back to when ml was a child and the drawing of him and his family and what his wanted the most was to be loved. this shi is so depressing omfg u just had to be there to cry with them. anywyas after they calmed down they were walking and the ml confesses his feelings properly this time and in the moment they end up kissing. the mc jokes abt how the ml has tense lips and the ml is like I can get better with more practice omgggg. so eventually they don’t like formerly agree to it I don’t think but now eventually him and ml does end up dating even tho the ml tells the mc that it’s okay if mc doesn’t love him. So they’re kinda in this weird limbo situation(?) there’s a bit of drama going on but anyways there’s eventually thsi scene where the grandma ends up hospitalized and the ml and mc r like oh shi and end up visiting her. remember the happy meter? or how there r de-buffs that happen if his hoot meter is low? okay so basically when the mc does something that doesn’t follow the game’s story plan there r issues that happen. but the mc ends up absorbing them however, yeah there’s multiple instances where there’s an error message but this time it’s very clear tht the game doesn’t know what’s going on so at the hospital the message pops up that the mc has to choose between his grandma’s life or ml’s life. it shows a scene where either the grandma flatlines at the hospital or the ml gets hit and killed by a car. ml has a hard time choosing and ends up freaking out and the Penalty for not choosing in time is a massive amount of deduction of days left he has left (meaning his death is coming sooner) so the ml flashes back to a memory of his sunbae asking him if it’s better to spend the remaining time with ur loved one or not get together and break up. the ml ended up choosing the break up N there was a specific instance where the ml tells the mc that he knows that the mc doesn’t love him and that’s okay. but the ml actually said “I love you, >insert ml name” before but he said it softly so the ml wouldn’t hear bc mc fears for the future bc he still thinks he doesn’t belong in this world PLUS the penalty for not making ml fully happy is DEATH omg wtf. so the mc and ml are very sorrowful and it’s so sad as shat. right person wrong time kind of situation. and mc ends up getting this pen that allows him a special wish and he writes “I wish for ml to be happy” and the world starts to crash and break and he rushes to find the ml and if my memory is right he fails to do so or something like that but what’s important is that the ml falls into that void and mf dies. then we’re introduced to the server wiped clean of his existence and the ml and directly main characters r living his lives regularly BUT there r abnormalities (which r effects left by the mc) for example the 2nd ml joined track to impress the mc but now doesn’t know why he’s friends with ml or why he’s even in track. like their memory is wiped but there are cracks bc the game server was damaged and removing the mc was a way to clean it but for some reason it didn’t do it fully. But there r side characters who interacted with the mc bc of his quests right, one of those is a agency person who contacted mc bc he was running a social media acc(his quest was to make a fan club for the ml and reach 100k followers) she calls the ml or something and was says the mc’s name in one of the sentences n the ml is like stunned bc that name triggered something in him. he’s running and going everywhere looking for traces of the mc and eventually goes to the grandma and ends up going to mc’s room where he finds the pen. He picks up the pen and gets a flash of the ml’s memories and what he wrote on the table. Ml is heart broken bc he was like oh the mc does love me after all and everything he did was for me, #sacrifical love tingz. so the ml is now in charge of this magical wish pen n writes for the ml to be happy. now cut to this dark weird space, we finally see the sunbae and mc and mc is like “who r u” and so confused and scared and it’s essentially revealed that it wasn’t rlly a game world for nothing, it was a world sunbae(think of him like a guardian angel) created to teach the mc that he too is worthy of love. and he asks if the mc wants to return and he is like yes and he returns BUT he returns to a different timeline/date than the one ml is in. he calls the ml n the ml picks up and they have a limited time for the quest (I forgot what exactly it is) but mc gets on a bus while ml and starts running and they decide to meet at one exact location so with the time spent or something they’ll end up at the exact space time continuum thing again idk it’s a bit confusing here. anyways they end up meeting and their memories return to the other people too as they kiss and basically the new mission becomes “make ml happy” bc the world was meant to teach him abt love. the wish mc made came true bc ml is finally truly happy with him and now it’s the ml’s turn to teach and make mc learn about how he’s worthy of love. there’s actually a REAL SNS account revealed by the company on instance that is the photos taken from the mc’s perspective abt the ml. and the goal is to hit 100k and it’s super cute bc they use real life photos and funnily enough theres a scene where the mc sends pic of the ml (like a crap ton) to the girl friend of theirs and she and the guy in glasses r like “oh wow he is in love.” the 2nd ml is still chasing after the mc but in a funny way like when the mc and ml have their names in the sand the 2nd ml kicks them away in spite. there’s a lot more extra scenes n what not so pls ask me if u want more specific info etc I type this rlly sleepy and late so it’s kinda jumbo jumbo of everything
ifff we’re on track exactly we do have some more to go depending on how long the chapters r. i think the webtoon was probs be at least 50 or more but could be more since there r special / extras too, the kdrama didn’t rlly include those (sad) but the novel does have sides and extra extra sides LOL. yes, at the end he has to choose the choice between letting his grandmother live or letting ml live, he does not end up choosing either and the amount of days decrease a ton and plus after he decides to break up with the ml because he would rather keep the happy memories and breakup : ( this ends up resulting in he ml avoiding him for days which lessens the days they have together even more. SINCE he doesn’t choose between either choices the game is like okay you’re the abnormality let’s remove u instead, and he ends up being removed as the world is falling apart bc of the multiple build up of different errors
