According to spoilers, So after he meets Hugo. He goes to see Rapiel Westport’s grave and learns of his dad lies.
(I’m sad to say but I think life has been rough on Hugo after he got kicked off the estate. His master was a fallen noble, while Clough was this uprising Viscount that the King personally trust because of his contributions to the country.)
As for the rest of spoiler, after leaving the estate. He meets Marquis Wolflake who actually knew what happened, but he ignored it because he had feelings for Rapiel Westport. So despite being good friends and a family to Aeroc, he just didn’t do anything. It’s really messed up and sad, because he cared for both Aeroc and Rapiel. Aeroc was his childhood friend and their moms were both close. And Rapiel was the unrequited love he never forgot.
This is from what I gathered from the other volumes. How did Wolflake know? Well he is the lord of bottom place, if you read vol 2(Aeroc’s return), you’ll see him patrolling and actually keeping an eye on the place. So he knew everything, Aeroc’s suffering in the bottom place. In addition Clough’s gatekeeper Hagen in s1 was originally Wolflake’s subordinate. So Hagen could be a spy sent by Wolflake. We see Hagen again in vol 5 (Clough’s return) telling Clough that his master wasn’t happy with the mess Clough was making at the bottom place.
I haven’t read that volume yet.. but the other volumes do provide clues. Why people turned their backs on Aeroc and so on…
In an alternate ending where Aeroc does survive, Wolflake was suddenly threatening Clough that he’ll reveal his crimes and knew what he did to Aeroc. Which forces Clough to sell the estate, and take Aeroc and the kids away back to hometown.
So everyone abandon Aeroc to hell or didn't have mean to help him (like Hugo). If so, I hate Wolflake like I hate Martha. I think he should put Aeroc in jail or straight up (mercy) killing him, instead of leaving in the bottom place to suffer gangrape everyday. And take revenge against Clough for creating that mess, marrying Rapiel Westport and using him as a replacement for Aeroc.
I haven’t read that volume. But if you read the other volumes its like clues to why world 1 was messed up.
Richard Derbyshire another of Aeroc’s childhood and close friends kept the doors close as well. He was married to Rapiel’s younger brother. If you read vol 5, everyone was close and happy like a big family, until Clough arrived. Isn’t it weird that they were suddenly cold to Aeroc?
In v5 Clough said “I didn’t notice that you were so loved”. And Aeroc said “why are you jealous.”
Clough answered back “It must have been a shocked to you, when they all turned their backs on you.”
So Clough didn’t do it. So why was Aeroc abandoned? In the spinoff it’s revealed that a lot of families really cared for Aeroc, Westport, Derbyshire and Wolflakes… this three houses cared for Aeroc. So it was just weird… that they suddenly abandoned him.
Wolflake.. I think he had this idea that both Clough and Aeroc were both this messed up people who got Rapiel killed. So to him, he let it all play out. You guys both destroy each other… let the trash take each other out. This is speculation and from what I’m gathering from all the volumes. Because of Hagen and Wolflake’s role at the bottom place. But yeah he should have sent Aeroc to jail… and destroyed Clough. Hopefully I find the volume of Rapiel jr… to get a clearer picture.
In Wolflake and Rapiel’s spinoff. Wolflake who saw Au Clough staring strangely at Aeroc and feeling this strange tension between them, purposefully got in the way of the proposal which led to Clough and Rapiel seeing the two alpha’s having sex. Wolflake wrote a letter about Clough’s violence to Rapiel’s dad… which leads to the break up.
Wolflake also finds out about Aeroc being an omega. Because of a noble was seen buying drugs in the bottom place. So everything made sense why Clough and Aeroc had this strange tension. He was actually the one who led Clough to find Aeroc… which led to Clough discovering Aeroc was an omega. Wolflake had a lot of eyes and ears… and he has a major role in Itrg…
This is why I also don’t like Wolflake, a lot of people want him to be with Aeroc because he was loyal to Rapiel. And because Wolflake’s mom actually hoping to set them up if one of them was born an omega. But he’s an asshole too, his redeeming quality is that he really loves Rapiel. He kept a blind eye and let everything play out.
But in the If stories, he was willing to expose the truth to the young Rapiel. And drag the kids in the mess as well which is bad. He doesn’t care who he hurts. He hates Clough and Aeroc for what happened to Rapiel.
Book 1 was really a can of worms…
He loves Rapiel so I understand the hate for Aeroc but he should know who's the real villain and punish him. Maybe in Wolflake and Derbyshire's eyes, Aeroc is disgusting/jealous person who hired hitmen on a pregnant Omega, and that Aeroc didn't deserve any sympathy.
This could have been the case. We’re not sure if Wolflake got the whole picture that Clough did use Rapiel, and got him killed. And used Rapiel’s death to torture Aeroc. But after seeing Clough having a son that’s the splitting image of Aeroc… he should had an idea. I think Hagen was placed in the estate for that purpose, but it still took a lot of years, and Aeroc dying. He had enough evidence to file a case against Clough, because he was obviously also a sinner. But it was Rapiel jr who had to investigate and make a case against Clough.
I find it strange he let Clough go on for that long. Maybe Wolflake learned about the imprinting, so he let it all play out again, let it torture Clough for what he did to Rapiel and Aeroc. He wasn’t a good husband to Rapiel, and did use his death to get his hands on Aeroc. And his stupidity got him to establish an imprint. Karma at its finest. Because the symptoms started to show after Aeroc’s death.
I feel bad for all of them, because this mess really took a dark turn on almost a lot of the people around Clough and Aeroc. I wish we can get our hands on that book….

I've always wondered how Raphiel (Aeroc & Kloff's son) found out about Aeroc being his biological mother cus it didn't say how he found out about Aeroc in the novel. It makes me curious like how did he found out? About Aeroc's sufferings, him being his biological son, and how his father is the villain who took away his mother's life. Did any of the employees tell him? Was it Martha? Or maybe Kloff's butler?? Or Hugo? Although idk where Hugo went after he was fired, whether he died or not prior to Raphiel's growth. Like this just makes it super sad ☹
