intensely staring at someone's dick at the restroom while having sexual fantasies counts as a kind of SA too, and mari was attracted to omata/his d, given the clearly sexual atmosphere and mari's staring + attraction, it's at least explainable why omata kissed him, even if he assumed mari's consent which wasn't there, but not evil rapist vibes
mari only verbally said no to the nipples, he was totally fine with getting dick-slapped lol (omata asked him about requests of using his dick and mari evaded the question, being enamoured by the d with little hearts, actually enjoying the situation, later even thinking he wouldn't mind dying being slapped by this dick lmao)
it was only when omata ASKED mari about going all the way, as far as we readers know, that mari showed his non-consent (by violence)

and yes omata can't read thoughts, but he asked mari about consent for going all the way, and i guess some sort of consent for the dick in mari's face, so the SA is there but (no one is hating mari for trying to force kengo's dick inside when he told him to wait in c1 and the lack of kengo's verbal consent there either) i can see why the weirdo would get away scot-free for once, compared to other mangas
i just really didn't need to see some weird side char d-slapping mari and the creepy past (which isn't grooming, he's only 3 years older ppl) for mari to realise that he has feelings for kengo. with a faulty reasoning. that doesn't really make sense. because he clearly already disliked omata. there truly could have been a better comedy solution for mari's realisation problem. omata didn't even have a nice design ugh
somebody further down the comments said something about conflict in storytelling but you know there’s good conflict and then there’s whatever was done here. lazy conflict. you can find the SA to “being assaulted by another person finally made me realize my true feelings” pipeline in every third yaoi. it’s overused (I would even go as far as to say it’s normalized) and rarely shows consequences for the perpetrators (see ch 4 here, this mf got a way with a measly slap on the hand err I mean face, just to get used as comedic relief right after). if some of y’all get entertained by this then by all means!! go ahead!! but I’ll be here bitching about it
