i had this confusion too...i wasnt sure if nan liked or likes guk(xin yang)'s older brother? why didn't guk want nan to be anywhere near the older brother and why was nan uncomfortable with the older brother???
From what I understand, XinYang's older brother is always give Lu Nan reality check, or some sort of conversation that will mess and make Lu Nan think about the possiblity of breakup is Lu Nan and XinYang started going out. The text "Xin Yang doesn't believe in forever" makes Lu Nan decide to stay as friends, hence the kissing ban. It's not hate, Xin Yang just doesn't like his brother makes Lu Nan overthink and pull himself away again from the relationship. This is my 2cent
