To think the MC became the most annoying and unlikeable of the 3… he was ironically just as much of a selfish asshole. His thought process was very daft & one dimensional. Kept crying about wanting it to be different but he was just so vague & nonsensical “ you just don’t get it? “

sir, you’re like a broken record. You don’t even get it yourself, just mutually shitty at communication himself

I c where you’re coming from but I feel like the others were worse. Personally I think Cain takes cake though.

Jooin was going thru heartbreak and trying to move on and dump yahwi for being such a dick. Then Cain said “use me” and even tho Jooin first said no, Cain persisted he do it. So he did, but then Jooin just felt guilty. It was almost as if Cain’s approach was “as long as your thinking about it” even if it was hurting Jooin.

This doesn’t mean Yahwi isn’t shitty either. I just don’t need to explain it bc it was plain as day. Like that guy sucked majorly.

Jooin made SOO many dumb decisions but I feel like if the both of them laid off him for two seconds he could have actually thought things through. They both were pushing him for answers that he couldn’t even search for himself. So it was coming off as selfish and repetitious bc no one was listening to him.

I had no problem with Jooin becoming flawed himself after the trauma, so I see a lot of your points. I think the style of writing just made it incredibly unbearable for me, just felt too childish and redundant. Like a fever dream telenovela with the same dramatic reiterations and no progress for chapters on chapters, thus my “Broken record” remark. I love slow burn angst but it was just very frozen on the same note for chapters on chapters, rinse repeat.

The cliche abused/mistreated MC getting his lick back premise has worked fine in other BL series, hell I even think they relented too easily and didn’t give their asshole love interests payback enough after being strung along rudely/violently. However, the style of payback/character development for the MC here was just tiring. The other two seemed to be favored with their pacing and development half way through, while the writer was stuck 50+ chapters with the MC’s, his inner dialogue suddenly wasn’t as productive
