Ppl think that it's making a joke out of No Longer Human when the storyline doesn't even have any resemblance to it other than the double suicide thing, and they think the mc is meant to be Osamu Dazai but the mc doesnt even have a name. Like...we've got a whole bunch of butchered anime adaptation of historical figures before but people drew a line on this manga??? I think it's cus the twitter post making the announcement straight up used the actual novel title written by the irl Dazai...people there straight up think the anime is a serialization of the nogel itself...
