Its cause MC died and both of them would want revenge or something. Theyll be fighting a common enemy now.
Also does the king even like MC romantically? He never really made a move on mc, isnt he more like a brother who has extreme attachment issue? And he got reincarnated with them in the future, and he still seems to be overly attached to MC but fairly normal. Isnt he more like obsessed with mc cause mc is hella kind and the palace is full of people that are just basically stabbing each other in the back? An unhealthy familial love that we honestly often see in other manwhas and books but because this is yaoi we tend to think its somehow sexual or romantic, cause honestly in yaoi, weve seen it all.
