I think, these days people are just too agressive in their comments. I don't want to know, what sensei (and also other mangaka) get to hear from their so called "fans". I can imagine, the pressure must be pretty hard.
I wish, she'd portray Asami in his older ways, too: taking revenge on some people instead of sugarcoating everything.
Times have changed. But this doesn't give people the right, to let their negaivity influence a creative mind in such a way, the one feels "forced" to went totally off the way of their true intentions.
It's a fictional story, for hell's sake. Not everything is pink and happy and unicorns are jumping around. Stories are allowed to be dark.
When you don't like it, just shut up your mouth and don't read it. What's this hard to understand?
I really hope, sensei finds the guts, to go her way with the story and it's much more back to the roots. A cunning Asami and not a stupid, lovestruck idiot, who only survives because he depends on others.
Asami is a powerful crime-lord, with lots of connections. At least, he was in the beginning. And now nothing of him is left.
I'm happy for the couple, they finally came to terms and on an equal level. But one could portrait it in a completely other way. For example: Aki now trained in killing skills, can have Asami's back and take revenge on their enemies. Or fight together with him against Asami's family.
Let's just hope, sensei will come up with something more Finder stylish stuff.
You took the words out of my mouth!!!
What attracted me to the story almost 20 years ago is how brutal Asami was. How cold hearted. How he killed that Chinese guy on the Casino ship so easily just because he didn't like how Takaba sounded on the phone, tossed him off the ship even.... and now he is hesitant to come back to the organization??? Since when was Asami worried about being these things??
And now he is going to escape with Takaba?? And what, open a convenient store in some small town on some island and live an honest life with Takaba?? Give me a break!!!
I've been seeing this alot in the Mangas now a days, like Chunta apologizing to Takano-san for their first time?? IF ASAMI COMES OUT AND APOLOGIZE TO TAKABA I'LL LOSE IT!!!!
To be fair the story has been going on for 20+ years and the author also must have grown/changed. It's already been thru multiple hiatus and The readers can any no longer recall much of the story on demand. I think she should just wrap it up before all the characters start to lose their initial characteristics lik, i would never have expected Asami of all people to say "i love you" in such a direct manner like idk that was so out of character for me but i still accepted it because I have such strong attachment to these guys lol
Same here.
I still hope, the two of them will form a team and show daddy Asami and the rest of his family, they better don't mess with them.
But I honestly blame people these days. All want everything to be "right". But that's not, how fiction is supposed to be. Fiction is about, letting your mind run free. Write about stuff, you fantasize about and to bring color into your life as well as the one of the readers.
We all know, it's impossible to please everybody. But to bend to social standards in your fiction is wrong.
As if somebody who writes/draws about rape and violence goes confirm with it. I hardly doubt most artists do. The same goes for all the things that are important in real life like racism, LGBTQ or whatever it is. But we need some stories, to escape reality now and then.
As long as it is fiction and not somebody trying to force others to accept his opinion, everything's totally fine. And unpleasant things are part of this. Without them, you'll never be able to feel the satisfaction, when in the end everything works out fine. Or, should it be a dark story, be hit even more when it ends up in death.
This is what makes a story come to life. And what we, as readers, should enjoy. A diversion from reality
Maybe sensei has changed. The question is why. Because she simply grew, or was the larger part of her fans wanting more sweet stuff?
I'm still staring at the last two extras and want to shred them to pieces. But oh, how people are fuzzing about it. This if FINDER, for fucks sake. Extra, or not.
I can recall everything of the story. I have some of the Japanese manga, almost all the English versions and all in my own language. People are supposed to buy the mangas, not read it for free here.
The chapters are released in a two month rhythm. One even can buy the single chapters in the BBG editions. To save horrendous shipping costs, you're free to wait for the digital versions.
I never would complain about how long it's already going. I am sick of those, who complain about, why it's not ending. Nobody forces them to go on reading. You don't like it anymore? Then stop reading it. Where's the point of reading something, you don't like? It's wasted life time. Literally.
I anticipate every chapter, even though the chars have changed.
Still I wish, Asami would be more Asami. I inwardly cringed, when he said those words and even smiled. I still do.
But as you, I love the couple too much, to stop reading. I only hope, the tooth-aching sweetness now is over. More of this and I have to pay my dentist a visit.
You’re not wrong about how times have changed and people have become more sensitive to things but in this case, development exists.
The whole point is that Akihito has changed Asami, just like Asami has changed Akihito. Don’t forgot Akihito straight up shot a guy with full intention of killing him (I’m actually quite annoyed he didn’t die afterwards).
The part that confuses me more Asami’s explanation of his father and pact. It feels like a fanfic (quite literally have read some with that plot). First off, while Asami was never a crimelord (he was a fixer, which meant he himself was never directly involved in things), he has his own businesses and still had his share of illegal dealings so why the hell would his father want him to come back? Maybe bc his own money doesn’t go directly to the family but Asami specified businesses which means his own businesses should have been acceptable.
Either way, whatever Asami does would have always gotten Akihito in danger so I’m wondering why there’s hesitancy now? Perhaps bc the very first time Akihito gets directly involved is what caused the last arc so maybe Asami decided he couldn’t handle that afterwards.
But in that case, I’m surprised he’s giving Akihito a choice at all. (Tho i’m glad he is). I don’t think them running away will be as simple as going to live a casual life in hiding though. Asami knows that. People will have to die for them to be free and I think Akihito will have to accept that.
(Would be interesting if he ended up killing Asami’s father).
Bruh when I said, can't recall on demand I did not mean the books. It's unlikely for many fans to keep up with a story that runs in spurts and for a long time(20 years). Unlike say something like Onepi that has been consistent from the beginning. There was a moment where it felt like this thing hadn't seen a new chapter in 3 years or so. Not everyone has the time to devote to a inconsistent series that you need to keep rereading to remember. I understand your frustrations and your love for this series but it's changing times with the series too. We just should hope that sensei has something good planned or hopefully can wrap it up neatly.
Ps. Quit assuming people over here Don't buy or support authors. A LOT of us actually do :)
Right.
Actually Akihito shot two guys, who unfortunately didn't die, Sudoh and Simon. I really thought, we'll get some amazing revenge for what they did to the couple. But no, all we got was a still forgiving Akihito and a tamed Asami.
Indeed they've come far. And without the way it started, we wouldn't be able to enjoy their development. And yet, sensei overdid it.
Now I'm curious about the fanfics you read. I've read a lot myself, but I can't remember even one with such a plot.
Ah, my bad. Somehow I end up with mixing fanfics and the manga at times. On top ot that, I didn't understand the term "fixer" in the beginning.
Maybe it's not his father, maybe it's Maksim who wants him back? Still the reasons seem completely far fetched.
I'm afraid, we'll have to wait for all the answers. Sensei better comes up with a better plot. Since she introduced so many new characters, there's a lot to handle as well as a lot of possibilities.
Running away won't be a solution at all. What do they want? Be on the run for the rest of their lives, because the family is, believing Asami's words, too powerful? That's stupid.
Yes, Akihito needs to accept a lot of stuff, now he made his decision. It won't work out the way, he wants. He will have to deal with the consequences his decisions will bring with them.
I would love to see Aki fighting for Asami with tooth and nails and finally finish somebody off. For real. No resurrection, or other magical survival plot.
In this case I got you wrong.
There have been uploads on other pages. There are more, than only mangago.
Whatever. I'm glad, it's still ongoing and yes, I also hope sensei gets the loose ends neatly together. With some more Asami style action and much more lethal Akihito. Unfortunately I doubt it.
PS: No. People who do support are excluded. We all know, there are lots of readers, who are not willing to pay but still complain. Mind the difference of not willing to pay and not being able to get a copy for different reasons. Also mind the difference of not willing to pay but be fine with what they get.
I'm totally fine with those.
But then, there are lots of readers, who are not willing to pay but still complain.
You may understand, it's frustrating for somebody, who's willing to do all the stuff, but then gets to hear stupid complains in the end. This work isn't done within some hours. Showing some respect doesn't hurt.
I don't like the new direction Finder is heading towards.....
It's like the Auther is trying to please everyone, and gives everyone a "happy" ending, and that at heart everyone is good......
I accepted the fact that no one is killable in this universe, but come on!!!! Sudoh is showing signs of recovery and being taken care of instead of being in an institution somewhere else is a bit too much
