You can't judge about something, when you haven't read the whole story. There has been some development.

People seem to forget that this is a fictional story. As you said yourself, it's not real.
And if you don't want to read it, then just let it be. No need to fuzz about it here. When you say, you're very sensitive to such a topic, sure, then it's understandable. I wouldn't read it in this case, either. Everybody has their own favs and things they can't stand. For me mpreg and romances are an absolute no-go. I need action and yes, also violence.
The characters in Finder all have made an amazing development. And you only can do that, when you've been through some shit.
