I dont really have problem when people uses or point out other races' accent. But knowing how koreans views filipinos, i just know, authorsan is just being racist. Why would they always use filipinos as a standard for foreigners with broken english or who cant pronounce english words properly? I just dont understand why would they make fun of it, when koreans also has this distinct accent when speaking in english ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

No it’s not racist. As a filipino myself, there is really a distinguishable filipino accent sometimes. Just like what you said about Koreans, Filipinos also have an accent. Moreover, the Filipinos that were portrayed does not have a broken english. Nowhere did the author make fun of Filipinos. What r u on, wth? What’s racist is u saying ‘knowing how Koreans view Filipinos’. Generalizing a group of people based on your prejudice.

Maybe because there's a lot of south east asian tourist who speaks in broken english. The fact they choose Philippines is just a pick.

When I read it, I don't feel the author is mocking Filipino or something. It just because most SEA use English as a second language, it's totally fine if they didn't fluent in English.

Sorry, i might have generalized them. But i cant help it, Well have you seen how korean artists usually talk about filipinos? There was even a korean comedian who usually use filipinos as her skit. She introduces herself as a filipino maid who married a korean for money. Dont be blind. Thats how most of the korean see filipinos, probably because they also uses filipinos an example everytime they act as someone who cant speak english fluently.

I was wrong judging someone whom i never met tho. A few days ago, i watched some korean actors talking into a very intense "filipino accent". That might have been clouded my judgement.

You're a good person with strong beliefs, but still understands and acknowledges their mistakes. I don't know you, but reading your comment just gave a more faith in the human race. Thank you very much and have a great day
