I understand what you mean, but kids start having sex in average at 12. When I was 14, most of my classmates either already had sex or claimed to. At 18, I was an anomaly for not having had sex yet.

As for the two main characters, Yoshino is already 18 and Kirishima is gonna be 18 soon. In chapter 28.3 they said his birthday is gonna be in a month and in chapter 29.1 the weather is already cold so it's around November.

Yoshino was born in April and Kirishima was born in November, about 8 months difference. So Yoshino's titty is legal (≧∀≦). Also Kirishima was unfortunately a male prostitute since middle school so him turning 18 when he already had lots of sex by that age is kinda messed up. (⊙…⊙ )

Lol a regular high school like many other people. You’re puking, but your case is the first I’ve ever heard of. It’s more than likely you either didn’t know they did have sex or you had such a low number of classmates that it made it possible. The 12-14 is an average I actually found online, which only confirmed what I already knew.

You're welcome. Btw, they're already in 3rd year in highschool, the academic year in Japan starts from April and ends in March. Since it's around November in the story, they only have 5 months left and they'll graduate highschool. So they're not gonna be highschoolers for much longer and they're both already 18 by now (Kirishima's birthday maybe already happened or is around the corner).

12 to 14 isn't highschool age but middle school age. I knew you were gonna say that they kept it from me or something but most of them didn't have a boyfriend/girlfriend in middle school (ages 12-15). If the boys would have had sex at that age they would have bragged about it and most of the girls were dreaming of having a boyfriend but didn't have one so instead they fantasized about Edward Cullen from Twilight. Highschool (ages-15 to 18 or 19) is a different matter, in highschool people start to have sex. Even so, a lot of my classmates didn't have sex in highschool either but in highschool people start to get more secretive so you can never be sure.

Ah, I can understand the confusion. I’m in Canada, from a place where we don’t have middle school. It’s high school from 12-13 to 17-18. Regardless, that remains the average age during which kids start being sexually active. The same way others can lie about having sex when they haven’t done it yet, in an environment where most do not have sex at that age, others will keep it to themselves as they might even think it’s something to be ashamed about.

from a quick google search: The average age when people (girls and guys) start having intercourse is about 17. Only about half of high school students have ever had intercourse, and even once they start having it, most teens don't have it frequently. (planned parenthood)

In conservative countries, not so much, especially religious countries. Are some of those super religious people sexually frustrated? Of course. Btw, I'm from Eastern Europe, a Christian orthodox region. Canada and the USA have far more libertine views about sex, the data you talk about regarding people starting their sex life at an early age is from North America, not Eastern Europe or the Middle East. The whole world isn't just North America.

Right, so to begin with, we were talking from very different places, so our argument was pointless btw, my statistics weren’t limited to North America. Plus there’s probably a difference between how early people were having sex when I was going to high school vs now (it’s been more than a decade).

Also, 15-17 years old was the recurring age I saw for a lot of different places. As far as Japan goes though, I saw 19. So that’s the end of that o guess.
