As someone who read the novel, it felt like it happened literally at the end for me. there weren't any romantic tension or feelings. Sure, Hajin took care of the boss, but he takes care of everyone similarly so it was hard to feel if there was any special feelings he had towards her. The only indicator that she could have been a love option was when he mentioned that when he designed Boss, he designed her with his ideal woman in mind and it was only mentioned ONCE early on in the story.
