I read their Wikipedia page a while back for the true history, but I believe he got her pregnant many times(more spoilers on that u have to go check the date of birth and death etc)
But after she died, I think he had to take another concubine and got her pregnant. I think just one but I might have misread
2 children actually after that but that's because of the rule he has to sleep with his consort in his Palace

Not sure about the book, but in real history he had a couple sons. I assume in the book it will be the same because of how the ending will go….
