1. filial piety pertaining to revenge was understood.
2. Bastard sons were treated like trash and who had to fight for everything they had and thus were sent on the battlefield like meat shield.
The comparison is also appalling. You’re comparing a group of people who caused genocide against a people (nazis vs Jews) to the emperor regulating his people by rooting out the few in favor of the many.
Also not sure why forgiveness is a topic. Your comment might make more sense to me if I saw it under whoever spoke about it but as a stand-alone, it just sounds odd to me.
"It's only fiction." Is such a cop-out. It's been proven time and time again that books can change people's perspectives, mentality, and morals. If you think HeeRang (Seme) deserves forgiveness for his murders because he was ordered to then own up to the fact you would probably forgive a murderer in real life.
