I honestly don't get why ppl are confused about the plot coz it is already given perfectly in earlier chapters of this manhwa .. But I salute you for having patience and effort to give them the details about something that they already read. Hope that they should give more attention and focus on the details of what they are reading or at least have the eagerness to re-read the part that they are confused about.

If they don't understand a thing, it is fine but they should try to re-read at least. But the sad part is some of them just started running their mouths, ranting and blaming the author instead of having efforts to re-read the manhua to fix their confusion.
right! they are too damn quick to put the blame to the author, they're just lazy to reread the story
so there's a rumor about yanyan having a sugar daddy right. when they're together (see ch 39), yanyan's dad called, and gu yiliang finally believed that rumor (he initially didn't). time skip they have developed mutual feelings but they're silly so both don't know about each other's feelings. GYL wants yanyan to stop contacting his sugar daddy and make him (GYL) be the sugar daddy instead (but he never really verbally said this) so he starts to act flirty (?) towards yanyan BUT YANYAN THINKS IT MEANS GYL LIKES HIM SO HE RECIPROCATES BUT GYL THINKS HE AGREES TO BE HIS SUGAR BABY. so that's how one thinks they're dating, the other thinks they're in daddy-baby relationship.
