I just really discovered this mangaka and i'm... wowed at her storytelling.
Part of me wanted miharu and daiki to just run the cafe together without becoming a couple, but, like sensei explained in the afterword, it did feel like it was the natural thing to happen, especially after miharu was faced with his past (in the shape of hazuki) and i kinda like the message that it portrays: we all need saving sometimes.
Inner strength is important, but there are obstacles that require love and kindness so we can overcome them. Individuality is extremely valued nowadays (esp. in Japan), but being able to depend on the people around us sometimes should be just as valued as well.
(Or maybe it's 2am where i live and im feeling deep, who knows)
