Helio just wants what kaelus wants. Because he sees him as a perfect rival that can better him and thinks if kaelus likes something he can reap its benefits. Bet helio liked diana more because kaelus liked her and helio failed to see how diana transitions into an actual queen because of pride and greed. His logic is also flawed. He would let kaelus drown to gain something and so i dont think he even considers kael as a friend.
