The thing is I don't really see either of them as romantic prospects for him at all
like everything you've described all just came off as him being a good sundae (especially with the flashback of him finding trainee winter, it's reminiscent of many idols who've supported their juniors they saw potential in) like he seems to care for him but it doesn't feel romantic (which is perfectly fine but because this is a bl and we know they end up together, it feels weird reading their fairly platonic feeling scenes as their relationship is still pretty one-sided in terms of feelings so it feels unbalanced and awkward when reading them)
and yes the ceo also feels like a fan building a good friendship with his idol which is cute too (but tbh since again it's bl I can't help but be scared about the author throwing in unnecessary "drama" aka creepy or criminal behavior from him at some point too)
Yeah I totally get what you mean about seme not liking him romantically but he cares a lot about him and I’d even say he cares a bit too much about the uke and tends to be a bit more meddlesome than it requires but I love love love slow burn so it’s not a turn off for me at all
I so agree about the unnecessary drama unfortunately most romance stories ( not just bl ) tend to make feelings of actual friendship and platonic love seem less important so they just throw in stupid drama
LITERALLY. i absolutely don’t understand the hate for ml. ml does have romantic feelings for winter, he just had his own reasons for not acting on them; this doesn’t mean he isn’t a good person or bad romantic interest. they’re both working through things… i like the ceo but i genuinely can’t understand the switch up. this is a slow burn, so mc & mls relationship is taking time to develop.
Waitt-- if I'm not wrong wasn't it mentioned in a chapter once when Winter confessed then in ml's pov he actually likes Winter but not to the point where they risked their entire career plus he's worried about winter. I swear I saw a chapter where ml imagined them being intimate or maybe I confused this with another story???
Sometime the best love story does not start as love for that matter. So it is true ml might see winter as a trainee only at first but it might change, actually it already started. All love story does not start as love at first sight. And actually i kind of like this story for that

Lmao you people are just absolutely ridiculous I’m seeing comments saying that ml isn’t putting any effort for mc or that he is being cold and unfair like excuse me??? Are we reading the same story? The ml has done nothing but help mc from the moment he met him and has been unfailingly kind and considerate of him it’s honestly no surprise that mc fell for him you guys seem to forget that each of these characters have their own stories, pasts, goals and feelings and think just because the mc wants something or feels a certain way then he must be right or get what he wants. When mc confessed to ml he turned him down firmly but not harshly he explained to him why he couldn’t accept his feelings and afterwards didn’t change his behavior towards him or think any less of him and the mc expecting him to let him know that the dating rumors were false was frankly beyond stupid his justification is that he would have done that if he was in ml’s shoes but he only thinks like that because he’s only looking at it from his own point of view if the ml had actually told him that the news were fake it would have only given him false hope afterwards he unfairly got mad at ml and said some harsh things but ml still didn’t get mad or berate him for it he was the first person who realized mc had serious issues and actually made him to seek professional help. While the ceo hasn’t really done anything for mc he is a fan he is sweet and I like him but all he has really done is be somewhat of a friend for mc I really really don’t see how he is a better option than the ml who has again and again and again done whatever he can for mc and all of you are stupidly mad at him just because he turned mc down
