naurr the oldest bro is definitely trying to get rid of his guilty conscience. his insistent on apologising is rooted in his own righteousness, instead of genuine care for her
I suppose that’s true, but at least he’s acknowledging that he fucked up. It may be for his own personal benefit, but the acknowledgment is something.
