no fr like he only has two bad things and they arent even that bad one can just be seen as manipulative (and yeah i get being upset about the fact he approached her with ulterior motives in the beginning but he fell in love with her at the end so its a win at the end of the day) and the other was just logical, like she wasnt to full term with the pregnancy it hadnt been too long since they learned about the pregnancy when that happens

He lied and acted as a shitty man before and after for sure by lying and manipulating her, but his intentions changed - if he only wanted her as a prize because of his pride at the beginning, after he wanted her close to him because of his twisted way of loving and because he obviously didn’t know how to show (and keep) his love otherwise

He won't change his ways if this didn't happen. He loves her but he'll still continue to manipulate her to make sure she's stuck by his side. Do you think he changed his ways just because he loves her. He will even think of more ways to make her stay by his side in an unhealthy way. For ref, when she demanded a divorce, he locked her up in the house. Let's be real, he needed this dramatic lesson to change because he's a stuck up man. Intentions alone can't support a relationship. There's no trust between them even though they love each other. He needs to know that the FL can leave his sorry ass one way or another if he didn't change.
This may be controversial, but I don’t like seeing him suffer like this, and personally I don’t think he did something so wrong that he needs to suffer this way for so long… we see countless of MLs that do crazy shit things (even worse than this) and get forgiven like it’s nothing, and he himself did nothing wrong but trying to save the woman he loves deeply when she was dying and realising his feelings late
Of course he hid many things from her and he shouldn’t have - like his reasons for approaching her - but we have literally seen him lose his mind and fall for her in the deepest way possible (even though he’s quite the crazy and obsessive kind) and I believe he only lacked the empathy and the ability to understand fully her grieving when their child died (honestly I too would have saved her and not the baby, who wasn’t even born yet)
