I forgot spoilers but from how the story is progressing, it sounds like it's gonna end up putting a dent to her reputation. Especially after the rumors go around saying she's frugal. Now, she's investing heavily (might even be from royal treasury) and ends up losing all of that investment. She wants a leg up against our MC but ends up falling into a trap just coz of how prideful she's getting.

It was kinda like the main catalyst that lead to multiple problem and gave her domino effect.
1. The lost of her relationship with her husband.
Although both of them weren't happy with each other anymore but Helios still believes that Diana is still his empress. But when Helios told her not to invest and when she asked why Helios told her because hestia told him that the boat will sink, and Diana took that as Helios valuing hestia more than her and because of pride she doesn't wanna tell dioke that she'd cancel her investment.
Helios who believes that the investment is a waste of money refused to give her money and he can't waste such a big amount too cause he is preparing for a possible political conflict.
2. Starting of church's downfall
Since Helios won't give her money to waste, she turns to church. and well she manage to get the church to support her.
But the boat sink and the barons fam ran away so authority they began to investigate and hestia used this as kinda a gateway to also open a investigation for the church's corruption
3. Her almost dethronement
Since she is tied to the church cause she's saint the church's downfall is also her downfall. So nobles decided that the empress really needs to be replaced since not only is she useless now she might drag the royal to the church conflict as well. So nobles starts to do petition to replace her.
4. Her stooping to low
And lastly, tho she was already harvesting a thought of wanting to get Kael back but she didn't really actively did anything. But after the sinking of the boat, she got desperate and well tried to seduce Kael to help her (girlie still believed if she runs looking helpless, kael would help him) but that backfired, Kael d
