the new art style is so much ?clearer? like more HD but i think the reason why these people are mad is because of expressions and the comedic reliefs in the new one which isn't bad. people can just DROP THE STORY if they don't like it, so extra for no reasoj.
We are upset because the mc seemed more unique before- like his expeessions (as you mentioned) had more emotion, and he had some beautiful eyelashes. I feel like it also got less unsettling :( I will still read it cause I find the plot on the more interesting side but it’s a bit of a shame that they changed the mc’s face.

The stylistic change is def noticable but okay plus not tryna say its a big deal, ppl just liked how it was before and thats all
