Exactly. If he was really worried for him as a friend he'd give advice, remind him of what he went through and tell him to be careful.
But to force your own ideas and basically say, "I wasn't strong enough to do it so obviously you won't be either. I don't trust you so I will do what I want". Especially since he broke the pendant. That's just asking his friend to fail, and for what? Wasn't he looking out for him? He's just an asshole.

I read people defending what the other grim reaper is doing, because "is his friend". Just so you know, our grim reaper doesn't want to "revive" our cute cinnamon roll, I think he knows perfectly well that even if he is in love he can't make a selfish decision like that. The fact that the other grim reaper did it before (fell in love and tried to revive his s/o) doesn't mean his friend is going to do the same. That btch is projecting his own flaws in his friend.
I hate people who do sht like this and excuse themselves saying "I did it because I was worried for you". Pfff, that's just an excuse to push your own beliefs onto other people.
