Yep. At one point in my life, I was Imagase. It was traumatic, but I've learned a lot from it. It gave me a pessimistic view about love, which is actually always better than being blindly optimistic. Once I thought there was this "right person" out there for me which was only instilled in my mind by countless romantic songs, movies, books and manga. I expected too much of my partner, got demanding, got unstable, got batshit crazy. Never did I know that there is no right person. I soon realised that chasing after such delusion ruined romantic love for me. Pessimism saved it. Now, I'm more at peace with myself and ready to love again. And now, in a proper way.
Imagase is the mirror of my youth. I have no shame in saying it. The first step to change is admitting you have a problem. Realisations would soon come after. Love is about embracing uncertainty. This also how this story has wrapped up. In the end, both characters openly welcomed the uncertainty they were so afraid of before. Sensei not actually showing their domestic life afterwards is genius. It just shows that you'll never know what's next-- relationships are exactly that. The ending just stays true to "accepting uncertainty" as a conclusion.

Is this realistic? Can anyone tell me if it is or not. If it is my heart cries out to people experiencing this. Now im really scared of love. Though ive never really fallen in love before. This is so sad but so good at the same time. Just hoped the author give us a peak at their everyday life together afterwards.
