AGREE!! So that's the thing Sion didn't get to experience in the OG timeline. He has hidden potential to become a great ruler but he didn't have access to the education and guidance. Hence why Parvel was so overprotective of Sion and basically took Sion and ran away from the holy kingdom.

So it was revealed later on that the reason why Parvel in the og Timeline broke away from Sion's fate(to become the holy king) and ran away was because for Sion's stigmata to activate...Parvel had to basically...sacrifice himself...so he had these thoughts where when he is gone, who would take care of Sion? Who would protect him? Who would shield him from these old foggies who resents commoners and believes only a noble blood can become a holy king?? Which is why Parvel escaped with Sion to the neighboring kingdom where he and Sion were close friends with the prince there. So if Parvel were to die, his friend could take care of Sion..well..that plan fell through when their friend died...then Sion gets kidnapped, his mother dies...Parvel thinks all of these are punishment from god for breaking away from Sion's fate.
SO IN THIS LIFE!!!! Sion has access to historical/political books, has the bloodline for backing. Doubt he needs to be educated on the faith and prayers cus he was raised as a priest and also, he now has a lot more allies, friends like Leon's GF who can actually act as Sion's political advisor. The former king's sword can protect Sion too, there's that guard captain that Sion rewarded during the fire, there's also the dogs who can protect and make Sion happy. all of these makes Parvel happy cus nothing can hold him back from letting Sion follow his fate as the true holy king.
Sion actually learned a lot when he was still Parvel's servant in the past life. Servant was his status, but he was like his assistant at that time, very close confidant, that's why Sion feel betrayed.
Maybe it's not clear in the first few chapters of the webtoon. But in the capital, Sion belong to Parvel's house, not the church. He wasn't working as a priest. If he belong to the church, it shouldn't have take too long for old Sienna to get him
So this is huge spoilers BUTTT

So what happened was, the cause of the "earthquake"/destruction of the church was actually Parvellone using his stigamata's powers. It's like--similar to the blue lightning when people get their stigmata. That's why people call his stigmata divine retribution, people basically get blitzed to dust. Sooo--when Sion was kidnapped, Parvellone surrendered himself and was locked up. The guard was actually on his side(i believe he owes Sion), turns a blind eye to Parvellone's escape. Parvellone massacres soldiers on his way to the church/castle with the hand that has his stigmata cut off. He meets the former sword of the Holy king and convinces him and tells him about Sion's true identity(tho i might be misremembering this). Former Sword uses their stigmata's power to regenerate Parvellone's hand back, thus getting his stigmata back. That's when Parvellone unleashed hell and destroyed everything on the way to the church.
So during all that destruction, Sion managed to escape right?? Well, he saw Siennas and his crew getting blitzed by Parvellone and both reunite. BUT, Parvellone saw how injured and how much suffering Sion went through so he does what he was supposed to do originally. As that is the true fate of Parvellone's stigmata. He has to sacrifice himself to activate Sion's stigmata as revealed in the recent chapters. It can basically heal ANYONE the holder chooses. Parvellone does this so that Sion can get a new start and then uses holy powers or some shit to alter Sion's memories of everything so that when he does get his new start, Sion will stay away from Parvellone and not trust him. What Parvellone didn't tale into account that Sion used his miracle on both himself AND parvellone. Will see in a future chapter later on that Parvellone will come back to the past, the same day he got his stigmata. He'll be distraught and tells his mother he'll be going to the country side to recover when in actuality, he went to Sion's hometown and to the one where he was brought after his hometown got massacred..well..he never found Sion, it's like--he never existed at all. Even the massacre never happened.
Ngl, Sion/Siennas has that unnatural political intellectual and potential to be a true king as he's destined to be. He was fumbling at first and relying on his subjects' words but now he can make critical decisions by himself about ruling his nation. It's pretty amazing, considering his upbringing and background.
Perhaps he has experienced the woes of the commoners himself but he genuinely cares for his subjects as as what a ruler should be.
My favorite part about this is the servants. I rlly love how they're having their own movements in the background as the story progresses. It's adorable how their eyes sparkles when Sion/Siennas treats them nicely.
Also, it's crazy how Parvell was playing a funeral music for Leo when he was 3 y.o. Shit was wild and Leo surprisingly grew up to be fine.
