I think it's intentional. This is a swap of the normal POV, or what we've had - how they perceive themselves and each other are different from each other. Seyeong probably sees himself as not as pretty as he is.
Yes! Whatever the case is seyeong is very pretty and heejae unintentionally sees him with heart eyes and im so in love with that perspective. Shows how naive heejae is lol thinking he can get revenge on someone he already has fallen for
