1) i think the reputation is already ruined and its unlikely that the publishers will put it back on their site after what went down
2) what the artist did was heinous, and there was a lot of confusion at the time between whether the author or the artist was at fault-- the author likely faced a lot of psychological distress with the whole situation and wants to put this behind them
