Why do some artists make the top look so emotionless while doing it

Drawing emotions is real hard especial when the characters themselves are weird

For this story we can say that since they are characters in a game, they have limited expressions

Because they want a stone top. I don't get that either. Like is the bottom the only one feeling it??

But yeah basically to show how cool and in control of his emotions he is bleh
