Same. I honestly love Jinx. I have all kinds of merch. Partially I just think it’s unique from the MMA standpoint, obviously the art is chef’s kiss, and I truly do love an “impossible” plot. We know JJK and KD are endgame, so it’s just riding the rollercoaster to get there. And I love it. Except for the chapters where nothing happens. I don’t love that.
Me too! I love a good hurt/comfort trope, especially if it builds up to some intense comforting. Right now, the author gave us everything. JK is hasty, and KD is slowly realizing things. It can only lead to the redemption arc from here. I truly don't want to see another repetitive "JK acts nice to KD once, then treats him even worse" chapter. I am sure things will start to go somewhere from here, and I can't wait.
We know the author has a style, and she won't stray from it for sure. But comparing this story to BJ Alex is so wrong in many levels. First of all, they relationship in BJ Alex revolved around one having feelings, and the other one using these feelings for his own gain. There wasn't a bribing situation, no forcing one another to stay in the relationship, and no financial/psychological burden to stay in the relationship. They both wanted something from each other, and that something has always been pleasure from the start. With Jinx, the relationship revolves around something more intense. I revolves around a debt. A financial debt and a spiritual debt. Since the circumstances of this relationship are much harsher than BJ Alex, I think the redemption arc will be more painful and slower than BJ Alex. I hope the author won't disappoint us
