omg I’m not alone right

I just have to know that this is a popular theory right pls tell me someone else thought of this too.

I forgot the MC names but I think that the trauma caused by the brutality of her brother’s death, has impacted her so much that she “adopted” him into his mind. Kinda like how DID works, there was so much trauma that her head couldn’t capacitate it so it split itself and right now the main alter is her brother who is protecting herself from facing that trauma. Personally I don’t think something that supernatural is natural in this world. ofc there may be plot holes to the but I do think that bro is dead dead and she’s suffering from major trauma. I think that she created memories from her brother’s POV to avoid causing anymore trauma to her. I would love to see this be the plot line and we work on her recovering and coming to accept his death.

But idk. I don’t think this is some crazy theory, I just need affirmation that I’m not the only one who is thinking of this bc it felt like such a simple conclusion.

Chapter 53 confirms it's haruki's brain in kiriko's body. Kiriko is probably still in there as we've seen parts of her memory shown, she was shot in the head so her brain was removed and replaced but since it was not confirmed she died a small part of her could be in her body. I believe haruki will slowly turn fully into kiruko (haruki+kiriko), for now he's still getting used to it. Also I'm still not fully convinced they were blood related siblings as they grew up in an orphanage but that's not confirmed either. Sorry for bad english

Names: haruki (brother), kiriko (sister), kiruko (mix of both's names)

Its not really about realism or not, it is sci-fi and it asks a philosophical question about identity. It sort of relates to the paradox of Theseus ship, but rather than having new parts this is person who has the half of one person and a half of another. The question remains is it Haruki in Kirikos body or Kiriko with Harukis brain? Or is it an entirely new person?
