I know it’s not something every gay person has experienced but have y’all never heard of internalized homophobia? Like yes he’s being homophobic but it’s more out of the idea that despite being in love with mc he can’t picture himself with him, he also is mentally ill so since he doesn’t see himself as normal he can’t picture himself as happy. Basically he wants to make the mc happy but he doesn’t realize he could do that himself like he’s only insensitive cuz he doesn’t know anything.
