As a wife myself those words coming from my husband infuriates me more than anything. As spouses we carry each others burdens and anything that concerns him concerns me and visa versa. So everytime riftan says that to her I take it personally. Shes not a random worker, shes not an outside friend, she is his wife and the lady of the land. Anything that's a concern to him and/or their land should automatically concern her. He isn't treating her like a wife, he thinks this is his way of protecting and caring about her but this ultimately is the shit that leads to divorce
