Playing his silly little twisty games in court and running circles over the nobles. He doesn’t hold affection for anyone( I hope not please) and his children are just there as backup for the imperial line and whoever has the biggest support wins like he did so he’s really not evil. Just doing emperorly expectations lmao. Could he be more affectionate to his children? Definitely but he’s not. And yes, he’s sort of the catalyst for the FL’s actions in the first life by not giving her enough attention thus opening her to enemies and then making her do the things she did but that really wasn’t a specific scheme on his part was it. She just didn’t have much to offer anymore in terms of power. It was just typical court politics for him. Anyway he’s a red flag for not having a heart but like he’s not evil for that. All this to say I’m blind and I think he’s hot bye!
