hmm my guess is that the dad is just as crazy as Suzy as well, if not worse. he probably pinned after Suzy's mom for years and manipulated her into being with him (just like the ML)
in the current time, the mom seems to be kept prisoner in the house (?). either that, or she's not willing to leave the house due to the dad's manipulation.

Maybe it also shows how they look like from moms point of view. Like when she looks at suji and the husband she does not see a human beings. But I guess she accepted that or just dont want to see reality. It was also suggested in previous episodes that she is on some kinda drug or is just not doing good mentally but dont remember which one.
so like based on the flashback, when suji is talking to her dad, they then both look at the mom with them crazy eyes, but why is that? i partially understand if it were just suji, but why the dad as well? did i miss something or is this something that’s not been addressed yet..?
