I'd say it's fairly good. A bit meandering instead of action packed but that's the point.
The MC is a very kind person but not the dumb kind of kind that gives people second chances they don't deserve. He knows that if someone is a danger to the world they need to be killed for the greater good. He'll be very sad that things came to the point where they needed to be killed but it won't stop him from stepping up to kill them if that's what needs to be done.
