Sigh, phew. Ok. Alrighty. Long essay ahead, u dun hafta read cuz I'm typing all these for the future me lol.
This honestly deserved a higher rating. It deserved maybe 9.4, but I can kind of get why it didn't reach a +2 points mark. (I rate it 4.7/5 tho)
First of all, the Art. It's beautiful, the coloring is gorgeous, and I love that both our MCs are hunks! >v<) I saw some comments that said the noses were weird. I didn't even notice? It may just be me, but it wasn't even that bad? It looked perfectly fine. It fit the art style, it didn't ruin my reading experience. So if people rated it lower because of such a simple, low excuse... then dang.
Mhn... this part. The MC's pushiness lol. He was lowkey, kept his composure and even admitted that he hated himself for his acts that made ML uncomfortable; and yes he obv was, it did show because he said "stop" a couple times and said he couldn't just push or punch him away because he's afraid of the casualties. He gradually came to accept all the MC's moves and even came to like it. So... that's fine now I guess? It was a biiiiiiit icky cuz their first time was kinda dubcon. So I understand if people rated it lower because of that.
ML's so so so cute indeed! He's hardworking, a very good son, and just an overall nice character. It was very refreshing seeing a character like him, who reminded me of Yechan from "Love Tractor" (I 1000% recommend! <3)
ML and his dad. Dangggggg this....!!! aaaaaa QAQ ITTTT WASSSS SSSSOOO SADDDD I was a crying mess because his dad was so sweet 'n so kind 'n lively 'n great... he deserved so much better, but I'm glad he spent his remaining time with his son and MC, and he enjoyed it 'til his very last moments. Made me think of my parents, god I love them.
The development between them was pleasant. Imperfect, yes. But it was undeniably enjoyable. They're perfect for each other! So understanding towards one another, and they actually communicate fast, misunderstandings are either gone or wouldn't last that'll leave a hurtful mark for the both of 'em. They're so sweet, they're each other's comfort and home.
The ending of chapter 35, when MC was standing amidst the falling snow, waiting for the ML to come; he was holding his umbrella as he reminisces and regrets the time when he was leaving 'n didn't ask for ML's number, it was also snowing that day. He asked himself, "what was I so scared of?" and that he wishes he had asked.
Then he heard ML's car engine, he dropped his umbrella to the ground and ran straight to him. ML also came out, and MC realizes his umbrella was gone, causing ML to laugh because he was a nervous wreck infront of him.
That part really struck me. Cuz the dialogues and the paneling, the way he dropped the umbrella, it all made sense. He didn't care anymore. He wasn't scared anymore. Of the snow falling atop his head, which mirrors his cowardly thoughts falling and then melting away.
He wasn't the kid sitting in the comfort of a car, watching the snow all the while going away from every last bit of it. He wasn't that kid anymore. Him dropping the umbrella symbolizes his growth with himself as an individual and as somebody who's now a permanent part of his beloved's life. 'n that ducked me up because I'm a sucker for simple yet deep 'n hidden messages! Sue me if I'm delulu! IDC!!! ┻┻︵ヽ(`^´)ノ︵┻┻
Anyways I recommend everyone to read this... thou shalt thee Venerable Gomi recommend to others, un! It was cute, funny, hot, sad... *sighs dreamily*
I CANNOT NOT STOP BAWLING MY EYES OUT.
