I've lived in Korea for a bit and learned that they don't really care about children, children actually have it the worse they'll be more concerned if u have parents or not. Same with the beauty standard, they outright comment on how you look whether weight, skin makeup clothes, for example because I'm black they've tried to bleach me before saying my skin was dirty, it's a whole bunch of bullshit over there
This whole, sorry ass plot is wish fulfillment bullshit with clumsy, cliché plot devices that only make the story a mockery of itself. Most of Hong Sia's issues could be solved with a quick call to child protective services and whatever South Korea's government has in place for school audits. The magic tiger fixing her life with his beauty is an embarrassing plot point lol. Her male "friend" having a convenient out from his bullying by association is also lazy as hell lol.
