Tbf Yaba is literally crazy. The man is not sane at all. And I do understand where is hate comes from. It’s starts of as simple jealousy but imagine being kidnapped and castrated bc of some random kid you don’t even like, I’d be eternally and forever pissed. On top of that everyone loves him and while you are drugged 24/7. So yeah cocaine isn’t a bad person but Yaba’s hate is understandable imo.
I am up to date with Novel but Cocaine is more twisted and manipulative in the novel than Yaba. At least Yaba has mental issues and reasons as to why he act a certain way. But Cocaine doesn’t have any motive but just hates/jealous of Yaba. ~I won’t spoil it but there is also a reason as to why cocaine keeps Yaba around him
No I completely understand his animosity and he is completely justified, but it’s actually no one’s fault but Giha’s, it’s not like cocaines the one who got him kidnapped! I guess he WAS technically the reason, but it’s not like he could help it. 10 years later and he’s still tryna kill the poor sap. At what point does the hostility calm down so that he could look at the bigger picture here? But of course, the drug abuse is a huge part of it. He can’t think straight. But we’ve seen hints of this extreme jealousy since he was a kid, so I’m not even sure if the drug addiction even made a difference.
Cocaine was kidnapped and castrated against his will at a young age as well. perhaps he didn’t endure the same torture methods the other eunuchs received due to his status as a healer, but I think considering how people treated him even before his captivity, I’d say his ‘twisted and manipulative’ side can be explained by his traumatic upbringing just like yaba. He’s definitely got some mental issues as well. But ofc, I am still early into the novel so you know better than me. This novel is so addicting I’m literally at work reading it.

How that mf let them take yaba in his place instead but still blamed yaba exclusively for what happened when he sold him out first? Then pushed the yaba is at fault for his circumstances narrative? I think Yaba having to face that part of himself - the part that does things to survive - played a role if small in how fucked up be got and his self esteem. Both were kids when they got kidnapped so i dont blame them for those choices and also they are both “sirens” so they are going to get upset when someone doesnt like their song the most - but i think everything that t broke yaba whereas cocaine is always 100% manipulative and self serving. It’s obvious he thinks he should be a god. Like yo people only treat you that way when you help them and then forget about you cus you fake. He makes me so mad

The thing about Cocaine which pisses me off is how much of a savior complex , attention seeking and narcissism the guy has. Cocaine simply CAN'T digest the simple fact that a rich and handsome guy like Cha Yiseok chose Yaba over him. It consistently irks him that the spotlight is not on him but on someone like Yaba (acc to him). The way Cocaine said that he would cleanse and "save" Yiseok and that Yaba would soon be a messy blot in the past for ml says what a green tea bish he is

Yeah he knows yaba is a healer and he seems to have a superiority complex. But he did cry when he thought yaba died so I don’t believe he necessarily hated yaba. But after finding out he’s actually alive and it was all yiseok’s plan, things might be different now.

After betraying Yaba and planned his kidnapping which led to him getting raped by his brother. He then shoots the mc but the ml took the bullets which led to the ml death when they were close to escaping the sht show.
Im up to ch 17.3 of the novel and I still have yet to find any reason to hate cocaine. Matter of fact, I genuinely like the guy. He hasn’t even done anything wrong to Yaba. Yaba absolutely despises him one sidedly to the point where it’s kind of embarrassing, but I understand his maladaptive thinking is due to the trauma and more importantly, drug abuse. But aside from that, why in the world does everyone hate cocaine?? He cares for Yaba and the rest of the eunuchs so much. It’s not his fault they’re all in this shithole! I just cant relate when the MC is seething in anger and jealousy and imagines murdering cocaine every second, cocaine ain’t even do anything!
