I think that's what hit me this chapter as well. Like we keep seeing small glimpses of his not so shit side and then this? Wouldn't it have made more sense that he was at least a bit grateful that Kim Dan actually thought through the present? No I don't think he'd jump for joy, but maybe at least accept the gift in his own grumpy asshole way. Literally any small progress up until this point is down the drain. I'm so annoyed I'm tempted to stop reading
