I re-read the whole thing and now I feel like our seme actually liked uke since the beginning and purposely dropped his suppressor in the earlier chapters so that uke would have a reason to go to him to sort out their disagreement(a little manipulative move), not knowing that our uke is in heat and is an omega.

After the rut I think seme kinda realized what happened with a bit of confusion maybe? and waited for uke to come back coz they're mated and all. But after 5 yrs he got impatient and somewhat mad that uke isnt returning to him so he investigated and went to him instead.

Im not sure lol there are some parts where the things seme says indicated that he did waited and with how he's acting now, I feel like he just wants the uke and not because of the kid.

He didn't drop the inhibitor on purpose. He was in rut and had to go home. There's no reason to drag his ex FWB into his house if he's in a rut that makes absolutely zero sense. Ian is the type of guy to cut it off cleanly. He's not the type to try to take it back underhandedly. Idk when he had found out Noah was his mate, unless in this world alphas can induce betas to change into omegas, then yes, that's possible that that's how he knew. According to the doctor Noah had gone to see, Noah had been a late manifestating omega.

Noah had sent some texts telling Ian he was gonna come by, so those could have been some indicators to Ian that it was Noah that had seen him last, after he had awoken from his rut. If Ian had really wanted to see Noah, all he would have had to look in Noah's direction and just nod his head at him and Noah would have come running. Look at the little baby running to him even WITHOUT the nodding. Noah himself has said that he had used the inhibtor as an excuse to go see Ian. Ian may be a callous lover, but he's not an underhanded manipulator.

Ian didn't find out about Noah and the child until SiYeon got sick and Noah had to go find a cure for him, the disease which is only afflicting HYPER DOMINANT alphas. This disease happens to be researched and funded by Ian's family only, so Noah and SiYeon came onto their radar and hence his radar as well. Even if he had not suspected Noah before, the disease is rare and only affects HYPER DOMINANT alphas in his family which indicates that this could be his child. And while Noah had come back to Korea and isn't quite disguising HIMSELF he had reverted to using his Korean name. So if he goes by YeJun then it wouldn't have raised flags, but because SiYeon is sick with this rare genetic disease that only affects hyperdom alphas in DoYoon's (Ian's) family, it ticked off all the boxes. SiYeon 's illness and Noah's seeking for the cure had been a little over a year. So Ian had known for about over a year of Noah and his child.

So he had known about them almost four years later. And since Noah never came to him for help, he just waited, and then eventually decided to step in when Noah has been struggling to provide for the kid and to provide the kid w appropriate meds. While also, trapping Noah in marriage. For whatever reason.

He's not seriously hating Noah.

He hasn't harmed him nor imprisoned him and has been taking good care of their son while Noah had gone to work. Aside from the **** at the begining chapters

He found out over a year ago so less than four years ago, when SiYeon got sick & Noah had gone to search for a cure for SiYeon. If he were THAT mad about it he would have launched a search party for Noah, assuming he had added all the clues together. Not wait five years. He did wait for 5 years but for whatever reason, in addition to having to step in bcz at this point Noah has been struggling to earn money for SiYeon's meds, as well as SiYeon's taking low quality meds that kept him drowsy all of the time.

Thats the problem with this theory tho, it doesnt really answer why ian is adamant in keeping noah by his side.

The whole story so far focuses on how ian is trying to get noah to stay with him, and it doesnt seem that he's particularly interested in being a father to his child.
Some keypoints i found why i came to my conclusion are:
1. Ian seems like a very organize and put together character. And i find it hard to believe that he would 'accidentally' drop his suppressant, and right by noah no less. He didnt seem to be the type to clumsily drop things even in a rut.

2. I believe that he genuinely liked noah since the beginning but didnt want the commitment thus he broke it off. But if we're going by the theory that he did like noah, that could be a reason why he would want to purposely drop his suppressant Coz he IS too prideful to retract his words and just manipulated noah into coming to him knowing that noah did in fact like him.

3. He didnt really have a specific reason why he would look into how noah is doing aside from him still liking noah. Coz he said being mated actually helped his ruts and it never said that mated alphas cannot be with other people in this manga. So he could have gotten with anyone else even after being mated, and it didnt have to be noah.

4. I just feel like he's not there for the kid lol he even taught siyeon to call him hyung when he could easily tell him to call him dad. Ot feels like he sees the kid as a way to block noah's escape coz he knows that at that point noah isnt particularly looking to get back together with him and siyeon is one good way to do that.

Welp all in all i just believe what noah says that ian just do whatever he wants and he would always get his way. And in this case Ian wants Noah and he was doing whatever he can to have him.

Like people aren't allowed to have accidents just because they're so put together?!? especially as you say, if he was in heat and in a hurry to go home, no less.

Even if he likes Noah, he didn't wanted a relationship with him. So there was no reason for him to purposely drop the inhibitor right by Noah. Also, it's just an assumption that the inhibitor had belonged to Ian. The class, as many ppl have pointed out, has PLENTY of alphas, so ANYONE could have dropped it.

I don't believe Ian is the type of person that would stoop low to do some shady shit. He LITERALLY had Noah in the palms of his hand. Makes ZERO sense to make Noah wags his tail when he clearly didn't want to string Noah along. He clearly didn't want any relationships back then. So it makes zero sense to drag Noah back. That was FIVE years ago. Fast fwd to today, it's possible he's ready to settle down, and maybe to get to Noah before his family does, to protect Noah and their child, and to save Noah from the stress of overworking and overextending himself in caring for SiYeon all by himself and to give the appropriate meds to their kid. He cares. You can throw the hypothetical 'what IF Noah had back-boned up and say, No' and see what Ian will do, then you will see if he cares about his child or not. In this case, we'll never know.

We also don't know enough about this world building to say whether he can or cannot be with other omegas, but the fact he reacts as if he's never been with omegas here-to-fore, asking questions like "oh, so that's what omegas are really like", shows he hasn't been. It didn't say whether he can still have sex with betas or with other omegas or not post-mating bond. And it also didn't say if he can have children with omegas other than his mate, but if alphas in this ABO can, then it would invalidate Noah's existence. If it has not the case then if he wants more kids with Noah, then he'd have to pursue him. This chapter just shows he hasn't been with omegas , whether he can or not. And yes, maybe he likes Noah, but five years ago he wasn't ready to be in a relationship. He could have looked for him any time. However, if you like someone but not ready to settle down, would you have sought out that person?!? No. He found out about Noah and their kid about four years later, and waited for Noah to come to him for help, but Noah never did, so that's why he came to Noah now.

You can tell by his tone and the way he does things. I'm sure having his child call him hyung is just a huge trick. It's funny and hilarious. Technically speaking Noah can just give his child (well, technically speaking it's their child) to Ian and just walk away. However, there is also the issue of the mate bond. If Noah had refused to be partners with Ian, then Ian will have requested Noah to erase the mark. The reason is simple, if one or both partners decide to move on then the marking needs to be dissolved so they can be with other people. It's like a divorce but this one is an actual physical break. Ian knows the risk and Noah would be hard-pressed to remove it. So, unless Ian is abusive or neglectful, Noah wins by being able to be with SiYeon, and having the child's needs be met, and his workload reduced. Well, this work has been taken away from him so.... It's not just the child that ties him down. It's actually the bond. And if Ian wants more kids but Noah doesn't agree then he would have dissolve the mark for Ian to move on. But yes, if Ian didn't like him, he would have asked for the bond removal already.
