Like I get that jaekyung is an asshole and should have been nicer about it but the gift was just a bad choice. Not that it justifies anything but it feels kind of cheap and as if Dan doesn't know jaekyung at all. He shouldn't have reacted likd that as a decent human being but it's not exactly surprising or super unreasonable compared to the other times

Gifts should be considered and with the receiver in mind. Dan should have asked if he wanted something or just made a special meal. Jaekyung obviously gets more than enough designer shit, is annoyed by it and spends money frivolously (doesn't value money too much since he is rich). Something homemade or similar would have been much more valuable to him. Dan should know this already or talked to the coach about it.
But on the other hand Korea has a culture that values designer brands too much so I get why someone lower income like Dan would think it is valuable
