i’m sorry but idc how bad the translation is,, not denying that it is 100% better to read a nice translation and important things get lost in context but maybe from years of reading chinese manhua with mtl that im just desensitized and i can guess pretty well what is going on

which i would prefer over raws i can’t understand at all

    SAME u learn to connect context by using other words as clues if smth doesnt make sense. ppl yelling in the comments prob dont know any better since they used to a higher standard

    I feel the same way. A top-notch translation is always best, but I'm totally cool with the iffy ones. Been reading for like 20 years, and after going through thousands of sketchy translations and raws, I've kinda trained my brain to make sense of it all. It's not perfect, but it works well enough that I can either ignore the bad translations or just get the gist from the pictures. Plus, I work with toddlers, so if I can figure out their scribbles and babble, a wonky translation is a piece of cake, haha.

    BOY them Chinese manhuas would get you good this is NOT as bad as that

    Exactly I always laugh when I see people cry over the translation they wouldn’t survive a day 5-6 years ago
