Oh yeah- he did check the heart beat. Also I don’t remember if they said how the parents became lifeless logs. Probably some mysterious “illness”- or maybe I should reread everything.

What if this is all in his head- maybe the moms dead but the father has been too? Did they say anything about him? I don’t remember. They don’t eat the food he makes them because they’re alway sleeping right? … what’s happening?!?!
