A short story doesn't have to be a shit story. A lot of short stories have become full-on series because people wanted more and were interested in the universe. I've read one shots that made me fall in love with the story/characters with only 1-3 chapters.
This story was just angsty porn. If you like angsty porn, then this is your cup of tea. But here are some things that made this bad for me.
1. Unlikeable characters- No one was charming. No one was interesting. I didn't even feel bad for anyone. That's bad for a revenge story.
2. Shit Plot- The concept of the story is interesting but the execution is horrible. Seme wanted revenge against uke for scarring his body. But a lot of the characters' dialogs and decisions were too weird, unrealistic, and unintentionally funny at times. It took me out of the story.
Personally, I would not have made a serious angsty short story starting from the beginning of the incident to the "resolution". I would've started it from the middle so we focused more on the characters and their journey in the situation. The author tried to cover a lot with a few chapters. They needed to condense it more.
3. No Conflict/Resolution- Was there a conflict? Because NOTHING HAPPENED! Nothing changed after he was kidnapped. The answers to the mystery were uninteresting mainly because the characters suck.
In the end, uke is happy being a dog but how did we get there? They had sex half the time. The author did a poor job planning/executing this story.
4. Unsatisfying ending- I was done before the final chapter. I did not want more. This story was as satisfying as eating air. I would not want to go back into this universe. Nothing is memorable. I remember nothing but the weird sex scenes with a dog popping up. ┐('～`;)┌
BTW I hope the artist reads these comments so they can improve. The pawn's revenge was so good but after reading this shit I can't believe it's by the same person. They took too much consideration on the readers suspension of disbelief that the story was goofy.
