Don't think top is a red flag

I don't think he's a red flag. From his POV,

1. Got drunk and kissed bottom in high school
2. Bottom avoids him a LOT, so now top assumes bottom hated/regretted it
3. Top pines for bottom for the next few years, including army
4. Top gets drunk, kisses and leaves hickeys on bottom everywhere
5. Bottom seems alright with it or at least isnt avoiding the top like he used to (because we all know bottom also likes top)
6. Top probably assumes bottom doesn't mind a physical relationship, so top will take what he can get//"hopefully this will grow into something more?"

We all know why bottom avoided top (realised he was in love and panicked), but from top's POV, bottom just straight up hated what they did in high school and wanted pretend it never happened. I'd 100% assume bottom doesn't like me if that happened to me. I wouldn't bother to tell bottom I liked him because I was rejected before I could confess.

I'm not saying all his choices were great, but his actions make complete sense to me. Unless if I'm a red flag. Haha.

It all makes so much sense on both their ends tbh. This could for sure have been solved with communication but they were also literally teens when the whole misunderstanding started and let's be real most teens don't have the necessary experience to know they gotta talk things out instead of making assumptions when things go wrong because the idea of getting even more hurt is scary. And it doesn't seem like either of them have tried to get any real advice on what to do from anyone else either, so of course they'd be stuck in this weird dance around each other's feelings since the mutual pining just won't go away.

I wouldn't call Chaeheon a red flag exactly. My one critique of him is that I personally wouldn't want to be with someone who has moodswings like he does or someone I feel like I kinda have to walk on eggshells around, but I do have the feeling he will mellow out eventually. (Or I could be wrong and it gets worse I guess lmao)
Also he is a bit forceful at times, but we know from that high school mistunderstanding he backs off if he feels Jeongyoon doesn't want him :')

Yeah, I agree with what you said. I just noticed lots of comments about how he's a red flag with no one defending him so I was giving my opinion. Glad to know I'm not crazy or delusional
