The giants knew the future that's why they did it, if it's not then why would his father put a curse on his own son?
Actually, I think he can't use aura or mana because of the curses

Maybe his father are related to giants or the giants find a way to control his father and they can't kill him because of the restrictions so they put a curse instead. He was that dangerous even though not being able to use aura/mana.
