    物学者がジャングル奥地のわんこ系先住民に求愛&種付されてしまう話….

    Original title

    Which translates to...

A story about a scientist who is courted and inseminated by a dog-like indigenous person deep in the jungle..

If the title is why you’re basing the racist claim on, that’s not really valid. Dog-like here is being used kind of how people describe someone as having “golden retriever energy.” Jungle-dwelling… well, they mean someone who lives in a jungle. And judging by the setting, that’s true.

But if you want to judge it based off the content, then I’d say that’s a more reasonable take, since the story makes use of stereotypes, much like Tarzan.

I tend to steer away from content like these because they tend to present the Indigenous people in really dehumanising way.

The title still takes on a dehumanising description whether the author or the translator means it another way. I know you are trying to provide me context, thank you for that. But usually, "puppy-like" would be much less vile. Plus, through conex of most BLs portrayal through sex, i think the first thing through reader's mine would not be golden retriever energy, more like the animalistic nature of the act. It just plays towards racist caricature. It really sticks to stereotypes and just uncomfortable them dehumanise and sexualise. The title alone is indicative of what the degrading contents within.

Whether it is valid or not, I would just say that my perspective and criticism should serves as a reminder of how society(and as an Asian person) view and treat Indigenous people all over the globe.

My comment has already gotten 3 dislikes so far, so to them, read if you want to. But understand that the title and content holds harmful connotations whether we like it or not

Blame whoever came up with the english title. I suspect it was google translated, anyway. The original japanese term used, わんこ (wanko), has the same connotations of saying "golden retreiever energy" in english, for example. Not that they are literally a dog.

“Wanko” is a slang term for dogs. It also means a person or character with dog-like attributes, and is also called “wanko-kei.” The term “wanko” or “wanko-kei” (dog-like) has a variety of characteristics, but generally refers to a friendly, affectionate, and tolerant type, and is especially sincere and devoted to the person they love. They can also be classified as “large dog” or “small dog” depending on their nature and body size.
