Everyone to their own...but this is actually quite good

I am actually quite surprised with the flow of the comments. There is so much work out there that get so much love for nothing, like even the bad ones. Which makes me think that the community must be quite forgiving if they can bypass such issues and enjoy the work regardless.
I don't see that here. Everything is being nitpicked on in the comments and I am sensing negative energies.

I feel like the manga is being very misunderstood.
The story actually goes into different depths despite being the classic omegaverse. The MC works in the field about these alphas&omegas despite being beta. He was looking at everything from a third party point of view almost his whole life, he was in a place that perceived and could safely judge as it didn't involve him in any way. He comfortably formed his own opinions about it throughout his life. It's like how you can laugh or cry about someone's misfortune but you won't really be affected because it's not really your issue to deal with. But then he is thrown in the same situation and that's what I find so interesting to look at. He is still trying to uphold what he stands by but also starts to realize that it is easier said than done. He is also being very stubborn about it, that's why despite his feelings being elsewhere than his reasoning, he keeps overworking his brain constantly. Just look at the contrast of the ML and the MC, it's just so meaningful.

Anyways I could go on longer trying to defend the story but let me just lastly talk about the R*pe topic.
Are you serious?? Yes it happened very quickly but that is the point, it didn't happen within their control. In that moment they were BOTH horny animals okay? Aren't we all sometimes?
It just symbolised the irrationally we humans have. That's what happened to them and then after how they dealt it with was within the reason and neither was it brushed off. They self reflected, even brought up lawsuit, constantly feeling bad for each other even though they already closed it. That was also one of the main core reasons as to how the story started developing, they started on the bad foot, both living different lifes.

I agree The contrast between the characters is really good. With their age, too! The top has just gotten his prefrontal cortex fully formed at 26 and the uke had his rationale with him for almost 10yrs. And so aside from all the differences you've stated, I think it's great that they have the option to suppress or pursue their fated-pair instincts.

And when the uke said he's an old man, I understand haha you really feel it when you're in the presence of much younger people Oh, I liked that he's older as well. Since Alphas are portrayed like they're all that, his age gave him a bit more power.

The r*pe was discussed and never brushed off, and that's really great. You see the top saying sorry and wanting to take responsibility immediately, and the uke was shown to think about the incident like he's not sure if he can call himself a victim if he felt good. These are extremely well thought plot points since it gives the characters more humanness.

I like that I get to see them struggle with the thought of fate in a pharmacologically advanced society where everything and anything can be suppressed. And even with all the uke's rationalizing (since he's a pharmacist), he still struggling to shake fate off. As for the top, I liked that we get to see him break down and cry without regard to the time and place. Just imagine that you find your THE ONE, and he straight up says NOPE without even exploring whatever it is that you can build together? He even wonders if he's unattractive!

And the uke as a beta-turned-omega made a good MC since he's allowed to change his preconceived perceptions along with his body. He was able to make a life for himself without being shackled by societal biases on the secondary genders only because he was a beta. I just can't with all the omega hate. Why? Is it because they're mostly portrayed as economically challenged? Weak? Powerless? Are they only good enough when you get to see two males have cute babies?

For what it's worth, I hope we read stories for what they are, with a bit more empathy and comprehension, too! (≧∀≦)

Just to add, if I could make pairing requests... I would love to see more beta-omega pairs defying the odds and I wish we have more stories of omega MCs that are truly integrated into society, full-fledged professionals like our MC here
