I think it’s reasonable to complain. Readers aren’t mad at the author but at that dumb ass law.
Reasonable? The author was sentenced for 3 years yet you think it’s still ok to complain about the censorship. Even if you complain nothing is going to change that law in China. It’s just going to bring more trouble for the author.

Desharow merman manhua is based upon the original 2012 novel, during which at the time Chinese censorship didn't take place up till they added a new law in 2017. So most of the novel's contents had to be censored in order for these scenes to be approved by law, keep in mind the OG author "Mr. Deep sea" themselves even got arrested for releasing a non-approved physical release book of their recent BL series and was sentenced for 3 years. If you wanna complain over the scenes being heavily censored, then read the novel translated by chrysanthemum garden please T^T These people are already risking their lives over this
