I always thought of Haley wishing to somehow make Noah want him/his body, and mason was Infact the answer. And mason liked small, soft blondes he could protect, so it could be that he was thinking about his preferences, and realized that Noah fit that bill first
so we’re just never gonna find out why haley wanted mason to take over his body? also it’s kinda weird that mason thought “i’ve always chosen noah” even when he was a child
